Mono version of my For Dinner still life picture. I guess it looks better in monochrome, it won 1st place at my photoclub monthly competition tonight.

It's easy to see why this won fist prize. Nice tones, good detail in the highlights and shadows, good composition and an interesting subject.

Congrats! I think the B&W works so well because of the variety in textures. Wood, rice, garlic, pepper, onion. -/\/
